Persons who need special accommodations or who need a certain level of care also require a suitable place to live. For those that desire a live-in caregiver, some thought needs to go to providing suitable accommodations for them as well.

Ownership

Caregiver homes might be owned by:

  • the caregiver/host, providing space in their own home for one or more live-in folks (who may be immediate family, a more distant relative, a client, or a patient) who does need some level of care.
  • the very folks who need some level of care, who are also providing space for a live-in caregiver/provider in their own home.
  • a 3rd party who leases the property to either the caregiver/provider/management agent or directly to the folks who need the care.
